Black Canary Espresso Bar in Toronto

This is a nice café! Very friendly staff, tasty and affordable beverages, the cappuccino is my favourite. Some healthy snacks too. The space is bright and cozy with nice furniture, background music, and artists expose their paintings on the walls.Wifi is the only issue here. It's problematic because it's an open source and you need to login into a webpage everytime - if they can fix it that'd be a fantastic spot for a work session. (Edit: asking the barista to restart the internet helped)

Cozy atmosphere, light music, homely. Did I forget.. great coffee and mocha.

It's little pricey but I guess their stuffs are good quality .

This is a great little coffee shop. The staff are all super friendly and know how to make some beautiful drinks. The space is nice and cozy and they are always playing eclectic music.If you stay for a while bewary that the washroom is a bit of an adventure.

Super friendly staff! They have a nice communal table to work at even though the cafe is a bit small. This place also has one of the best London Fogs I’ve had in the city!

My favourite little coffee shop in morning! Cute little vibe and AMAZING oat milk lattes. Everyone always very friendly and personable and open on holidays.

Nice space, lovely staff, super drinks, yummy cookies... Come here to hang out, read a book, play a table topics game and have great stuff to eat and drink.

Good quiet place away from the main intersection. Usually go for their London fog or matcha latte. Nutella latte is also a treat too. Can order in advance with Ritual app. WiFi needs to enter their given password on a webpage every time.

Used to go to Aroma but this place have the best croissants ever! Love their Americano too and the baristas are always sweet and lively. My new go to cafe now, thank you! ☺️❤️

A nice little sunny and bright espresso coffee bar with friendly service and delicious espresso. Love the spacing between the tables so you're not crammed in and sharing your conversation with your neighbours.Wonderfully thick foam on my cappacino-- delicious! Very enjoyable.

Nice vibe--the big collective table is good for laptop work, and there are two small sofas for lounging on. The staff is friendly, there's usually something good on the stereo (sometimes actual vinyl!); the coffee is quite good, though tea offerings are slim. Slightly lower marks for the so-so baked goods (the small handful of catered sandwiches that arrive for lunchtime are excellent, however) and the spotty low-bandwidth wifi. But otherwise it's a great place to hang out for a while, and it seems to have become a popular informal office space for a lot of artsy types in the area.

One thing: Nutella Latte This is the place that started it back in the days of Bisognio and even to this day I still come here. The place is perfect to get some work done, while drinking an amazing cup of espresso.

Love how friendly their staff is. WiFi and plugs available. Good place to hang out with friends or work. Has different artwork on display that you can buy if you like. Has a variety of drinks and some baked goods and healthy breakfast boxes as well. Their coffee is nice and strong. Half a cup keeps me awake for the day. Can't say enough good things.

An okay coffee shop. Decent coffee/tea/cookies. I came on a weekend and it was pretty quiet, a good spot to just get some work done. Nothing cute or "aesthetically pleasing" about this cafe though...

Great spot to relax and enjoy some quality coffee. Have yet to try their snacks but I'm they won't disappoint. Very friendly staff, and most of all, they're dog friendly (they always put out water bowls our fur babies).

Loved that they have a non dairy option! Very friendly for a holiday Monday at 8am. That says alot. I highly recommend paying them a visit!

I'm biast when it comes to location because I live literally next door. Other than than its a great coffee shop with a unique decor and seating arrangement that allows for work and just hanging out.

Fantastic staff who take the time to make coffee and espresso right! They get their beans from the fantastic and local Detour roasters. This semi-small coffee shop offers two couches, a large communal table, two person side tables, and high-top window seating. Reliable internet connection and great music always playing in the background. A spot for the condo dwellers to get their morning fix and for nearby office workers and students to have a lunch break or coffee meeting/interview. They also have a selection of communal books and board games for you to enjoy with friends. (And they take Ritual orders if you are in a hurry).

Super chill place to escape the buzz and get work done with their medium speed but reliable internet connection and large communal working table.

Nice little tables outside, even better than being inside, hope they come out every summer. Coffee is awesome too!

The espresso at this place is delicious, which makes for a tasty cappuccino. Best in the area. My only wish would be for better bakery goods. There’s not enough selection. Iced coffee and americanos are also very good.

Super cute little cafe, great for studying and meet ups. The staff was very friendly and super sweet. A lot of the baked goods are local/handmade and delicious! Really liked the vibe here. :)

Really cute looking cafe with plenty of character. The mugs if you're planning on staying are MUGS - not small cups like they do elsewhere. The only inconvenience is the shared bathroom hidden down a hallway, because the door back into the shop can get stuck and you have to go outside to get back into the shop...but probably a very rare thing that happened to me. Go grab a coffee and watch the world go by.

There is something really special about this indie coffee shop. Somebody really knows what they are doing. The staff here have been selected with care, lending a great service-driven and personalized vibe. Great coffee, excellent fresh-baked goods, comfy seating, and free WIFI. The best in the area.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Was disappointed with the interior. Many flys and ceiling seemed unfinished. Coffee was burnt probably because the barista did not change the grind from the previous drink he prepared. Maybe away to save on cost but inevitably resulted in a poor shot of coffee. Was nice to see Ghirardelli chocolate products are used for syrups however, one two many shots made my iced mocha too sweet. Size of drink is good, although an iced mocha cost is $6 so with a tip $6.30.

Enjoyed their Nutella latte till the last sip ! Cozy and quiet place to enjoy your coffee and chitchats!

Personable staff, good coffees and teas and comfortable space

I come here for my americanos usually before I head off to my cooking class at George Brown. Their coffee is decent and I like their espresso. Bold flavours with good acidity. I haven't tried their lattes yet but next time I might try it if they have lactose free milk. Prices are reasonable and they also have an appreciation card if you go there regularly. They also have a nice and friendly staff and they also have a good pastry selection. Love their chocolate chunk cookie :)

The chai latte and cappuccino are AMAZING here. I love the cozy decor as well.
